Mango Mania: Mango-nificient Salad Dressing

Looking for a dressing that will brighten up, both your meals and your day? Well, look no further. Packed with a tang for your tastebuds, and adding a pop of colour to your food – this punchy Mango Dressing is embarrassingly quick and easy to whip up!



Ingredients:


1 mango, diced

Juice of a lime

1/3 cup water

1/4 tsp salt

1/4 tsp chilli powder/cayenne


Method:


1. Peel, slice, and cube an entire mango (save for the pit). Set aside.

2. Squeeze the juice of a lime. Lime is preferred over a lemon as it’s perfectly sour when paired with the sweetness of the mango.

3. In a food processor, add the pieces of mango, the lime juice, salt and cayenne. Blitz until it turns into a puree.

4. Add the water and mix again, to give it a pourable consistency.

5. Empty the salad dressing into a jar of your choice, and let chill in the refrigerator for a better taste.


This dressing is just as versatile as the King of fruits itself is. You can douse your salads, stir-fry’s, sandwiches, and a lot more – with this little jar of flavour bonanza.


NOTE: Using a fresh, ripe mango is your best bet. You can add more or less salt/cayenne according to your spice and savoury preference. Fresh herbs like mint and basil bring an extra touch of freshness to the dressing, as well. Enjoy!
